Poetry Forms Easily Explained - a work of Bianca with additions by kansaspoet |
| The Tableau is a poetry form, created by Emily Romano in 2008. It consists of one or more verses, each having six lines. They should have five syllables in each line. There is no set rhyme scheme, but it may be present as it happens. The Title should contain the word Tableau. Goal is to paint a picture with words, as the word Tableau means picture or representation. My example: Garden Tableau Careful, step by step a cat hunts for birds while snow gently falls, and lands on its nose. Bird in my tree wins, I saw this, and smiled.
