Erotic Assumptions Contest

I was bad and didn't get my final entry to the "Invalid Item"  in on time. After getting all the lead-in assignments finished and in good shape, travel and computer problems got in the way, and I didn't have a chance to finish it until just last night. Of course, it didn't help that the minimum word count was 1,000 and my story ballooned up to just over 5,400 words... I guess that's what happens when someone makes you develop characters and think about your story. Pfft.

Anyway, for anyone who's interested in reading the draft that resulted from Crys-not really here 's wonderful contest, I humbly offer you:
