21,999 and hoping for one more

Since 22 is my favorite number and May is my favorite month, I'd be remiss not to mention this blog is one view away from 22k! Ah... I feel warm all over!

I'll be back here to add some thoughts as soon as I take care of that warm feeling...

Well, I took care of that, spoke to Shannon and Tate, stirred the beans that are taking f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to cook...

ME:

I've had more useful days, but then I've had lots of totally useless days as well.

My accomplishments:

1. Walked to the river and took photos of apple blossoms, balsamroot, lupines, larkspur, irises, sedum, strawberries, sweet woodruff... We are "suffering" a very smelly season due to a burst of blooms.

2. I met Shannon at Bernice's and we both wrote. I think mine is salvageable... but I really liked Shannon's piece. We'll meet next week unless I decide to take off.

3. Moved couch to the front room. This opens up space in the kitchen/study. I am slowly working through sorting as well, but only do one heavy lifting per day to be kind to my shoulders and back.

4. I'm cooking beans. This may not seem like much but I can't eat rice and beans if I don't cook up the beans! I put a cup in a pan with garlic powder, basil and bacon. It takes forever!

5. If I'm supposed to have a List of 5 ...it ain't happening.

I would accomplish more if I'd get up and moving before noon. This has been an issue. Need to cut back on late caffeine and force myself to stay up once I'm up. In Costa Rica, the idea is to have everything that needs to be done that day finished by noon.

Oh how I hope to be back soon!

I checked prices. Ouch. Even any bus trips are in jeopardy although September is almost certain. Need to check with my mother as to when she is visiting: Sept./Oct. or Aug./Sept.

September/October would work well for me to be on the highway. Usually not stormy except along the Gulf or Atlantic. Usually not snowy and no major holidays to contend with.

As for Costa Rica... my trip may need to be longer to justify the increase in plane fare. And going once/year has to be considered; although, I still really REALLY want to visit this June/July/August as planned. Should've gone in May... December is too far away. So maybe a month or 6 weeks? instead of 15-20 days? Decisions, decisions ...even though it doesn't matter. At this rate England/Ireland will need to wait till next year.

But my internet is back to working! So I can check travel prices and get stressed out all night long! Shoot me now...

A rainy evening. Quiet.
