| Morning dawns heavy and grey Clouds wring out their tears And bow down to the earth The ground has waited patiently for this day And now it drinks its fill. The trees reach their bare arms up Sing praises to the dampness. Rains fall softly, rippling soothingly Along their tortured skin. Rejuvenating them with new hope.
