#17 Haikuish sashimi tataki ktanka
tataki = haikuish with place
sashimi = haikuish but not a definite place
ktanka = like a tanka
*FF = foto / photo

Not feeling well as I enter these and edit. Some are fine but others are very weak (like me today). I'll need to reread and re-edit. Some will not survive to be shared with others.

507 80a When I leave — do / geraniums serenade / the jade trees
508 80b Each patch of / land — its own kingdom / its own stories
509 80c Oh, the hoot / of an owl — remind me / I'm still alive
510 80d A circus / of fleas — the cats / and me
511 80e The flag waves like / a weather-vane — wind speed / and direction
512 80f I give a home / to carpets — they hug / me in return
513 80g Lights of the city / shone too bright — now they / light his grave (rewritten)

514 81a It was warm / today — why do I shiver / by my open window
515 81b If I give names / to my plants — will they / call me human
