On Becoming a Baha'i:
Paradigm Shift

The mind
constructs a model of reality;
a paradigm
that it accepts as reality.

Inputs
from the world at large,
from interactions between self and humanity,
affect the model
causing the mind to edit...
to change the paradigm.

I wrote this in 149 B.E. The inspiration was meditating on the reason I became a Baha'i. When I accepted Baha'u'llah, several years before I wrote this poem, my choice appeared as if a spur of the moment decisions. I wasn't because I had been search for several years. I may add other poems to this entry later, or I may leave it as it is.
