The history of Prosperous Snow written for the group Reminiscences |
My First Haircut White as a winter lawn, my Grandmother's bedspread lay beneath me and the Montgomery Ward spring catalogue. Paper dolls clipped carefully from the catalogue's shiny pages rested in neat piles, waiting to be dressed in new outfits. My auburn tresses combed back from my face tempted the silver scissors to create bangs. Gathering my severed locks into a neat pile I placed the Ward's catalogue on top of them. White as a winter lawn, my Grandmother's bedspread lay beneath me and the Montgomery Ward spring catalogue. Poet's Note: ▶︎ |
