On the Seventeenth Day of Fast1

I inhale the chill of morning,
and meditate
on the meaning
of the Nineteen-Day Fast:
Letting Go
and Letting God.

Today I am thankful ...
          ...that I was able to pick up my March Senior Commodities allotment today.
          ...for the fresh brewed coffee I had this morning.
          ...that my Bank of America checking account is not overdrawn today.
          ...for the double chocolate cupcake I had this morning with my coffee.
          ...that I have 1,015,134 GPs in my Gift Points account.
          ...for the chocolate covered crunch dibs I had as my afternoon snack.
          ...that I have $28.89 in my Send Earnings account.

On the Eighteenth Day of Fast2

I give thanks
for the blessing of the Fast,
and the approach of Naw-Ruz.
