The Letter

Hope wrote words that I wanted to give
to someone who could see me in them
The tears ran down the page
Doubt tried to escape
Insecurity folded them up and
Stuffed them in an envelope
Desperation posted the letter but
Fear stuck out a foot and tripped the postman
