Prompt: Pick out your favorite inspirational, motivational, or spiritual quote and write a poem, prose or monologue about it. Please include the quote and who said it in your post.

Help! Assist! Aid!
All words meant for action.
Consider the need of another,
and then put steps to your thoughts.

You will see progress made,
Vision will become more actionable.
Helping others will be easier and more fulfilling.
Soon you will be teaching others how to help, assist, aid!
Copeism 1-17-17

Helping others.
Assisting those you are able.
Aiding when your plate is empty.

These opportunities are important because when you are doing something for another you are promoting their well being, their sense of purpose, and their awareness that they are not alone in the myriad of situations they find themselves in.

When you see someone in need do you stop and assist? Even if it means getting your clothes dirty?
When you see a homeless man holding a sign, do you aid him by taking him to a restaurant and buying him a breakfast? Even if your funds are low and you may have to go without a meal yourself?
When you see a man who has been beaten, robbed and left for dead, you you help him get up or do you walk on the other side? Questions you have to ask yourself when you find yourself in a situation that may present itself.

The scenarios are varied, the scenes are possible, and many more can be considered. All with one thing in mind. Will you assist, help, and aid when you see there is a need? Or will you let someone else do it and look the other way.

True; you do have to be aware of scammers, spammers, and down right thieves laying in wait. But if you don't take action you will never grow in the process of looking beyond your self and having a care and concern for others that pulls you out of your comfort zone.

I chose to help, assist, and aid at every opportunity I am able to do so?
Will you take up the gauntlet and do likewise? By doing so we are teaching others how to consider their actions and chose to make the world a better place, one-situation-at-a-time.
Amen and amen.

Prompt: “Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” ― Jalaluddin Rumi, The Essential Rumi
Let this quote from Rumi inspire you to write something.

Not sure why but the word Legacy comes to mind.
Leaving a legacy for others to see,
Every person/writer will be remembered for one thing or another.
Giving to others; displaying generosity; or hoarding showing greed.
A man/woman has to take stock in his/her life and decide how to act.
Considering it's real life, it's not really "myth" Rumi refers to.
Yet in reality your legacy is exactly what everyone else will see.

Therefore to me that is the "myth" you, create which is turned into reality, and it will be found to be your legacy. Amen and amen.

There's a big party happening, not just a few friends but a couple of thousand and everyone draws a task from the hat that they need to cover. Lucky you... you got the music. What kind of music are you going to arrange, play? Rock, Alternative, Classical, Country, Jazz Are you hiring a band or are you going to wing it yourself and dj the party? If you want embed one of your favorites.

This may be a little late in the offering but hey the 1/5/17 challenge got my attention and let's see what develops.

My favorite music is Classical; and this is what I would pipe through the sound system for the "guests" to get in the mood for a party to be remembered, and not forgotten because things got out of hand and a rave broke out instead.

Ah; now doesn't that get you in the mood to celebrate!

DAY 1507: December 31, 2016
Prompt: What is better than gold?

What is better than gold?
The Love of God who took me in His fold.
What is better than gold?
The grace and peace over us He does hold.

The love of God is real and that's the truth.
Here and now He is at work upon this little earth.
Every day, if you are willing, you can see His influence.

Life that is full of good and a whole lot of bad times too,
Only needs a little perspective to bring it into view.
Violence and loss of the sanctity of human life, makes it hard.
Even so there is hope that can be found in every shard.

Oh hast be the day when His love does ascend upon the earth,
Found on that day when Jesus comes riding in on His white horse.

God is better than gold, because God promises so much more.
Oh sure you can get a few trinkets with gold, only to see it blow.
Doing what you feel the Lord is asking you to do is why,

The Love of God is more precious than pure gold.

Bully!
Uncaring about the impact,
Loving the rush.
Lingering emotional scars be hanged!
Yet this time is the last!

Bully you cannot bully me again.
Unwavering in my resolve.
Leaving your presence, you are
Losing!
You will have to realize your actions are wrong.

Bully the time is now.
Unrepentant you may be,
Leaving me to pick up the pieces.
Leaving the emotional scars as raw as if it was the first time.
Your influence over my emotional well being is at an end bully!

Lord I pray for this female bully. She takes pleasure in tormenting others, not just me. I pray that a time of realization will come upon her. That she will be ashamed of her actions, and seek to make amends. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

The next write I put up will be about bullying.
I experienced this twice on my last rotation and I wrote about the first for catharsis.
I cannot help but react as one who has been bullied, because in the moment I'm in it, there is no difference between the first time ever.
It will be personal but I'm sure many will see some of the same things within the lines I post. Personally I believe that if you have to bully someone, it is because you are a coward and want to take the emphasis off you, so people won't realize that. Oh and by the way, there are both male and female bullies, beloved and that's the truth!

Prompt: "I don't believe in astrology. I'm a Sagittarius and we're skeptical." Sir Arthur C. Clark.

Astrological signs, twelve in a circle.
Someone came up with it at one time.
There is a whole following for this.
Real or not, in my opinion, it's a hit or miss.
Oh to be sure I don't understand it all.
Looking up at the stars, I see God's wonders.
Only thing is others can see further than my tiny eyes.
Gigantic telescopes can see the constellations, the systems, the other planets even.
Yet one thing is certain. Whether astrology is real or not, the important thing is to remember the Creator and His Great Love for mankind.

P.S. I'm a Sagittarius too, but I don't know how to shoot no arrows.

Prompt: "Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out." John Wooden

The way things turn out is not always the best.
Here in this quote there is a call to make the best of how things come about.
Even sounds like a good ideal, to be sure.

Believe me, it would be best to make the best out of things.
Elevating the mind and spirit to overcome obstacles is good.
Seeing an opportunity open up, even in the midst of a struggle,
Takes the advice of this quote and applies it to life day-by-day.

What is Mr Wooden trying to say in this quote? In my opinion he is saying when life gives you lemons go ahead and make some lemonade. When the world sticks an obstacle in your way, grow in the experience and work your way around it. It may not be easy, it may take some time, but in the end you will look back on the "obstacle" and realize that you have grown because of the experience.

Write a story about the last coin you found on the ground and how it got there.

The last coin I found on the ground was a penny. How it got there I'll never know. But what I call them is pennies from heaven. You see, when I'm jogging the apartment complex, I will inevitably find a penny or 2 or even 3. I give them to Rhonda and add more so she can save up for a trip next year. When I started running, after being diagnosed with T2 Diabetes, I was wanting to find something to improve my health and running became one of the things I do to be healthier.
The coins I find along the way, I thank the Lord for His provision and continue on in my running pattern. There is this one penny that I still haven't been able to get. It's kinda stuck in the tar and I haven't taken the time to dig it out. It's there as I pass it and has now become a marker that tells me I have a little more to go before the second leg of the run starts. It's been over a year now since I started jogging and it's really amazing that no one has dug that little coin out. One day maybe it will be dug up and I'll have to find another marker along my running route.

You are beloved!
