Sad... I keep things here because I need the organization. That said, I put a poem on my blog today... first in one month.

As for readership. *sigh* My blog went over 100 thousand when I wasn't looking. But... no sense in trying to link at facebook because no one is interested in what I write and few are interested in me. My photos? Yes, they gets "likes" but not many comments. It's as if people have forgotten how to communicate the last ten years. If it isn't a meme or twitter they can't handle it.

Sad.

I have two friends who had surgery to lose weight. It's a major deal but they both seem better off and healthier. Best all.

The 23rd is my sister's birthday... but I was so worn out I didn't call her until the 25th... my bad.

I think it's so cool that you're open to your kid having pink hair. My mom was really, really against it when I was growing up (I think I wanted blue hair). So I eased her into it: can I get natural highlights? Okay cool. In the space of a year or so I had burgundy hair with purple highlights. Those highlights weren't planned--either that was the result of the stylist's color, or he snuck something fun in for me.

Abbie wanted purple streaks in her hair -- done.

Jason wanted pink hair. The only complaint I had about that was the fact that he has very dark hair and so it would've required me to research or whatever and do more work (bleaching, etc), and I'm lazy.

As for the sizes--I know. Abbie is pretty much done growing and will likely be a shorty like me. Jason is 13 and 5'8" and having a "no shave summer." Joe is starting to grow again, which makes me happy. It's hard enough to be a short girl--being a short guy is no picnic. He'll be in the 7th grade too :)

Does seem like meds are out of whack... I'd say, ask about a water pill, but it sounds like you're on enough as it is. Thursday will come. ♥

My Pixie. I love everything about her. I wish I could be as outgoing and not care about what anyone thinks. I’d do so much more in my life. I’m glad that she loves things like that! I’ve never been to a dance in my life! She’s too adorable for words xo xo

Hugz.

I immediately thought of rehabilitating dogs... they are needy. But once one is attached... how do you give them up. Same with kids.

No real advice ... at lest you are in touch with your needs and can express them. That's a healthy sign.

One thing to consider is states like Georgia who have the Hope Scholarship that pays for most or all of college. You do have to be an instate resident for a certain amount of time though.

Something to look into when you're considering moving.

Why 14 is different (10y, 9m, 4w, 1d old)

Last year should've hit me harder, as Ryan became a full fledged teenager. However, in the next 4 days, Ryan's going to turn 14, and it differs so much from 13 in so many ways.

Firstly, he was still in middle school when 13 hit. It wasn't too big of a change. He was just starting teenagehood, and though it's a big milestone, 14 seems so much bigger, because it means he's off to high school in the fall. Much like middle school, I can't seem to wrap my head around this one very well. I have no choice but to cope with it as it comes. I still find it hard to believe that Journey's going into middle school this coming year as well. 11 still seems so young.

There are occasionally times where Ryan shows his teenage-ness, groaning, rolling his eyes, mumbling "Whatever" under his breath, but they are few and far between for now, I'm happy to say. I love him so much, and I'm so grateful to have him in my life. This whole raising a teenager is new to me, I've never done it before. So far, he's making it a little easier on me. We'll see what the household dynamics are going to be like in a couple of years when Ryan's 16 and Journey's 13...should be interesting to say the least.

Ryan and his best friend are going to have a hang out session on Thursday in lieu of a birthday party for Ryan, as all his friends that would be guests are going to be gone at that time. I'm glad that his best friend is making time for him though before they head out for the summer. Ryan doesn't get to spend a lot of time with him since they've been going to different schools.

I hope Journey gets to spend some time with friends as well. We got to see her good friend Ben the other day, which they were both thrilled about. Those two also don't get to see much of each other because of attending different schools. Hopefully everyone keeps in touch.
