One of the frustrations of traveling in Thailand is the lack of reliable information online. For instance, one site suggested I need to go back to Bangkok to travel between Udon Thani and Korat. Not true... there's a direct (albeit slow and 3rd class = cheap) train. Roi Et - Buriram had 2 bus routes listed (7 hours) while the fastest was a taxi for $50. Except for high class tourists, jet-setting between beaches and Chiang Mai, the backpacker may find online sources useless. I'd like to correct that.
