Task 2 for
September 2nd Which of your WDC friends deserves some recognition? How have they supported you over your time here? Post about it in the newsfeed, your notebook, or a blog. Wow. This is a hard task to write about. How to pin down just one person? So many people have helped, encouraged and befriended me over the years. I guess, though, for this last year I've been touched with the kindness, friendship and compassion of 🌻 pwheeler ~ happy 25th WDC  .Phyllis really cares about, not just me, but, all of her friends on here. Many times, when I have been feeling low, or like I wasn't achieving anything, I've had an email from her, asking how I was doing. Almost like she has a sixth sense. And, oaky, I know she is on the other side of the pond from me, but I can tell she genuinely wants to know. She doesn't just ask how I am because it's what people say. She 'listens' and I always feel heard with Phyllis. Not only this, but she has been sending me merit badges for a few months, on behalf of Schnujo's next semester starts  and "The Contest Challenge"  . This has taken a lot of work on her part, and they have made me feel appreciated and loved. I know this will be true of everyone to whom she has been sending these badges.So, really, I am thanking Phyllis for being a wonderful friend. Phyllis, I know you have you own stuff to deal with, so that makes it extra special when I see how much you care about others.     |
