Daily scribbles on writing and living. How to get rid of cobwebs in my brain. CLOSED. |
I am over the moon with joy this morning, as I got an anonymous gift from a co-writer on WdC. I can set up a blog for the coming three months since someone paid for an upgrade. If you ever read this Anonymous One, thank you so much! Many thanks to "Request An Upgrade From RAOK" [E] I got an upgrade for two more months. That will enable me to write and review some more in order to earn my keep after that. I have to think about this for a moment. Don't want to rush it, don't want to solely vent or underestimate the value of a daily blog for my writing. So I will carefully try to explore what it will bring me. “All my life, my heart has sought a thing I cannot name. Remembered line from a long-forgotten poem” ― Hunter S. Thompson, Hell's Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga When I was a teenager, my little brother stole my journal out of my bedroom and read it. I was so disappointed and mad about his action, I destroyed my writing and have been struggling with the concept of conveying my inner thoughts ever since. So, I will send my daily scribbles to the world. On How to get rid of cobwebs in my brain. To let in some air and rejoice. For another clumsy attempt at writing, check out "All fingers and thumbs " [18+]. I am a Rising Star from Rising Star Program 2016-2017. Comments, scribbles, and notes welcome! Thanks, 🌕 HuntersMoon for the teal awardicon. Note ▼ |
Today at the Bridestowe Lavender Farm. Everything lavender. It smells really nice. |
Today we go hang gliding at Launceston. Great fun to hang on those wings and fly. It is a great feeling of freedom to hang in the air. I loved this exercise! |
Today we are going to a food festival. Food, drinks and workshops on food. Tonight we are in Launceston. |
We are going to make chocolate today. In the Hobart Cadbury Chocolate Factory. Yummy! |
Today we go to Mount Nelson. A beautiful view. We have a barbecue on the grass and watch kids on their bikes on the oval. There is not much to do so I fall asleep. |
It’s Xmas! Yay. So we are in Hobart today. We stay at a lovely hotel near the beach. I sleep in and have a brunch in my room. In the afternoon we visit the Salamanca Market. We have a real Christmas Dinner in the hotel. A lazy but satisfying and enjoyable day! |
It’s a relaxing day with some holiday shopping and a nice lunch with the group. At night The Carols by Candlelight concert at Sidney Myer Music Bowl: Xmas is nearing: Merry Christmas to all of you! |
Native bushland in Dandenong Ranges: with a steam train and miniature railways, little villages, nature walks and botanical gardens. We do the 1000 Steps Kokoda Walk among other things. Back in Melbourne, we learn several people have been arrested today for plotting a Christmas terrorist attack in Melbourne. I am relieved. |
Today a bookstore and museums in Melbourne. Readings' Carlton outpost is the bookstore chain's first shop to open in Melbourne. Opening in 1969, the bookstore has stayed on Lygon Street since its inception and its current location across the street from Cinema Nova has been home to the bookstore since 1998. I visit some Museums: National Gallery of Victoria, Science Works, Melbourne Aquarium, and Heide Museum of Modern Art: In the evening I take a pottery workshop. |
Today another amusement park with roller-coasters. Luna Park in Melbourne. I actually enjoyed the rides and fun attractions. This park is on a scale I can handle. Basically, it’s for schoolkids. |
We are staying in the Blackman Hotel in Melbourne for a couple of days. Lovely modern rooms with beautiful artwork. Very comfortable, so I am pleased to stay here until Xmas Eve and make it my home. |
I am stepping down from blogging with Blog City and Blogging Circle of Friends for a while. Lately, I noticed that my blogs were minimal and I don’t have the time to be more involved right now. I also stepped down from reviewing for Simply Positive for this coming period. Hopefully, my muse can handle this. Today we are in Canberra, the nation’s capital. We visit the new House of Parliament. Very futuristic! Later today we are going to the National Library. I am a bit disappointed, there are no books on display, and it is merely a museum. |
I WON 3rd PLACE in Twisted Tales Contest OCT for
Today a restful day at Bondi Beach and Taronga Zoo. Loved it! |
Today it’s Sydney. Wow, The Sydney Opera House. Loved it. Beautiful architecture. Then we do the Harbor Bridge Climb: holding the rails and looking down the bridge. Awesome! The Royal Botanic Gardens, tranquil and very nice to spend a couple of hours in and have lunch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_spHUy54hQI Then I stroll the streets of Sydney in the afternoon. An awesome day in an awesome city. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpgoeCpxU1M |
Wow, a real poet wrote me a poem today!! I am so thrilled. Check it out, it's real nice.

After two hours in TimeZone I call it quits. I am heading towards the city and visit some art galleries and museums. Gallery of modern Art and Museum of Brisbane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2p_i5JJj8M We are flying to Sydney this evening so I am relaxing in my hotel room and try out the room service. |
I am not much of a dare devil, so I dreaded this day in Dreamworld. All roller-coaster rides! Check them out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvmGm67ENeg&t=8s |
Movie world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju7AEf4E6R4 It’s the scenery of The Matrix Trilogy, my favorite movie, so I am thrilled to see behind the scenes of movies. The roller coasters are a bit too much for me but there is something for everybody. Life action shows, stunts, puppets, lots of kids and families and noise everywhere. A big thrill. I’ve never seen anything like it. |
We fly to Brisbane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSBD9J3SJFY . After checking in our hotel we do a day of island hopping. Amity Stradbroke Island: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Jq4b-Z8S7w and Moreton Island: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8nShysu7No. |
Today an early rise. We are having breakfast outdoors since we are going snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWWEvM-svdU. Although I have been diving in the past, snorkeling is new to me. But I soon get the hang of it. It’s the most wonderful world under water, I totally enjoy today. I would communicate the whole series of Star trek to them. Old and new. I think that series is excellent in explaining what we think about ourselves and what we want from other species in the Universe. Prompt: “The big questions are always the ones you can’t even ask.” Davina Blake—Past Encounters: A World War II novel. What do you think are the big questions? How many can you come up with. (BC) My big questions are: Why are we here? What is my purpose in Life? I am still struggling with those two. |
