Yesterday, I got some unsettling news. I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day. I also found out that we lost a job contract. The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money. I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone. I woke up ill today. My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight. There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England. Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured. |
| On Monday, I did 182 adapters. On Tuesday, I went to the dentist. Yesterday, I relaxed. Today, I got some information about this new Stride program. It was just as I thought. It is not going to be a job placement program. I tried to tell my worker that a year ago, but she was convinced that Stride had a plan in place. Apparently, I'm not alone. Other workers are telling their clients the same thing. What bothers me is Stride is going to help some of us, but not all. One lady that I've worked with for 11 years was told to retire. Unbelievable. |
