Nope, don't think I would do that. I have been to Niagara Falls and that water is so bloody strong and the drop!! No thank you!!! Beautiful to look at though.
I am a bit the same. Those movies you mentioned such as Saw and Chainsaw Massacre I couldn't watch those. However I love things like Monster series on Netflix and just watched The Ed Gein Story and loved it. Which is strange to say but I think for me the real life horror is more psychology type thing. Why are these people the way they are?
I flip flop back between do I believe people are born evil or is it their environment etc.
In Ed's case I think that his mother and father had mental issues which can be hereditary, so most likely he had mental issues when he was born and then his upbringing with parents, especially his mother manifested those mental issues. It maybe could have been different had his issues been picked up when he was younger and helped. He eventually was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Anyway, probably didn't want to read all that ha ha ha.
Our world is so dependent on the internet and electricity, it would be utter chaos and dangerous. I can't imagine hos much crime would take place in a world like that.
I have 3 beautiful golden retrievers and one of them is 14.5 years old. She came along at a time in my life I didn't know I needed her and changed it completely. My love for this dog is expotential. I'm not saying I don't love my other two just the same, but Bindi and I have shared a very special journey together and when she is no longer with me I know my life will never be the same, but I know she gave me a life I never knew I needed or wanted. Her gift to me can never be outdone and every day I have left with her is extra special.
I hear you about all the hair, the dirty paw prints, the nose art etc, but without all of those things I would not have my furkids and so I will put up with them and hopefully many more in the life I have left.
I am so sorry for you loss, it is a deep sadness only the love of our furry companions can cause because they are all so special.
Prompt: Horror Genre
Do you like the horror genre, and what was the first scary movie you saw or the scary book you read if you remember it?
I love writing horror stories but can't watch horror movies! I go back a long way and like all teenagers I liked being scared out of my wits, but safely, with a strong pair of arms to shield me.
Vincent Price movies were popular in my day. The Pit and the Pendulum, The Hand and others of the same ilk. Later came Psycho, The Birds and anything directed by Alfred Hitchcock. But the slasher movies of today such as the Chainsaw Massacre and Saw, well, there's no way I could even begin to view those.
I don't mind psychological horror movies such as, Seven with Brad Pitt.
