| Let this affirmation inspire you-- You can't find happiness in material things. Happiness comes from discovering--- it's your blog, have fun. I find happiness in all sorts of things. Today for instance, I helped a guy in the supermarket who had a shopping list from his wife. He was dutifully crossing items off the list as he proceeded around the store. He stopped and asked me to help him find a can of three bean mix. I looked but could only find four bean mix. He looked so worried and wondered if his wife would be okay with that. I just told him to tell her it was a Black Friday special bonus bean day! He laughed and it made me happy. On the way home I saw a lady picking up litter from the side of the road. She already had several bags full, that made me happy and wish I could go and join her, but my very sore back precluded me from helping. I met a friend for coffee and we laughed a lot, that made me very happy although our conversation was mostly about my failings😂 but it’s so good to be able to laugh at myself. This afternoon I saw a mother Magpie helping her baby who when learning to fly had tipped on to its back and couldn’t turn over. I watched as she manoeuvred it on to it front. How wonderful that was. That made me very happy to see a good outcome. Tomorrow I’ll be very happy to see the podiatrist and get my ingrown toenail fixed because I can’t walk properly at the moment! So happiness comes in many guises. |
