I've been banned from ladders too. In 2021 I fell off a ladder 11 steps down, broke both of my feet painting the trim on our house before we sold it. I made the move to Las Vegas with my feet in air casts and crutches.

I would outsource window washing at this point, the list may grow as I age.

I do chair yoga too, I enjoy it. I should check out one of the local pools, it would be a lot easier on my knee that hasn't recovered yet.

Yes, I agree.
I've let go of many things, but only after bugging myself for a few minutes or so. Yes, letting go helps most of the time, within reason.
And I remember that case. That is something I can't wrap my mind around, though. That man must have been a saint.

I, too, am very reluctant to ask for help. My sons, especially the younger one, are always ready to help, but I don't ask them unless they ask me if I need this or that to be taken care of.
I hope your daughter heals and feels a lot better so you won't have to worry so much. I can see how difficult it is to be a parent especially in your case. Hang in there!

On a recent trip to see family, we celebrated by going for dinner at a very expensive seafood restaurant in Cairns. We ate outside under a galaxy of stars and I felt the luckiest person in the universe. The evening was still really warm after an extremely hot day. The air was almost thick with moisture as the humidity had been as high as ninety percent that day and the temperature over thirty four degrees centigrade. I hoped the seafood had been not left out at anytime as food poisoning was something I certainly didn’t want to experience. My son assured me the restaurant was one of the best in Australia and I was told ‘don’t panic, Mum.’ We enjoyed the meal and the service and best of all I enjoyed the ultimate pleasure of being with all three of my adult children.
