He pressed on the gun for less than a second but he could notice the surge of energy filling his body, like drinking some sort of ultra potent energy drink, and he could feel his clothes getting suddenly a bit less comfortable, still usable but no longer fitting as he knew they fitted his body. Alex stood there for a few seconds shocked about the result before searching out for measuring tape to confirm the results.
"I grew!" Alex took an extra check to be sure his measurements were right and sure enough, he was no longer 5'3'' but now was around 5'5'' which wasn't a lot but still made him go from average height to slightly above average for his age, and that was just pressing it for a tiny bit! Alex wondered what would have happened if he kept pushing the button, would he just keep growing and growing? Sure, he would like to taller than most people thinking it would be both cool and convenient, but he wouldn't want to be a freak, what if he grew too much? would he end up destroying the house? how would he live?
These thoughts distracted Alex for a moment as he remembered some old tales and movies that featured giant people or giant monsters, and he looked at the gun amazed that it could even have the possibility of such power, something that he already believed first hand because well, the couple didn't exactly shrink just a bit back then, they lost almost all their height which meant maybe he could grow twice as tall holding the button just a bit and..
Alex suddenly remembered the couple and now that he knew how to grow them back all he needed to do was.. tell them what he didn't want to tell them, that they should be aroused in order for the thing to work. But he had to do it, it was one thing changing the size of someone for fun and other doing it as an accident, he felt as if he committed a crime for some reason. With a sigh he took the instructions, sorted his clothes a bit to make them more comfortable and walked again towards the house of his first unintentional victims.
