Your name is Martin, and you recently lost your job:
And it becomes worse, because now you understand that your girlfriend was only together with you because you had a good job and money. This morning you see in the mirror that all of this is not good for you and you bet your last 1000 $/€ on some horse, the wrong one and even lost this.
Next days your rent has to be paid and since you can not pay it, your landlord throws you out and you become a hobo....
