It was clear and sunny day in the deep forest region of the digital world where a green gloved white cat was getting some fresh air and for a walk. It was better than staying at home doing barely anything when the digidestined were at school and better than hearing a snoring Agumon.
She passed many pine and oak trees a plenty and thick bushes that bared different kinds of berries of many usual as well as unusual colors. The tree branches provided much needed shade from the high noon sun. The native and wild digimon of the area were minding their business.
It was definitely a great day for a nature walk as she treaded along an aimless path.
The walk did wear her down eventually about an hour and a half later. She became quite thirsty more so than hungry. She thought about heading back to the house, but there didn’t seem to be any yellow TV portals nearby and didn’t want to take the nearly two hour walk back to become more tired than she was and getting thirstier and hungrier. There had to be at least some kind of water source like a river or lake somewhere in the area.
About 20 minutes into her search for water, she came across something odd nestled between two trees and a bush, a vending machine. Granted in the human world finding a vending machine in the middle of a forest is strange, but not too uncommon for the digital world. Digimon like Numemon happened to live in some of them. However, those vending machines were old fashioned generic ones that held snacks more so than drinks. This one looked really brand new and seemed to be promoting and selling only one product in multicolored bottles that had a cow leg/arm flexing a bicep, Mega Milk.
She approached it and read some of the wording on the machine.
“Mega Milk! Not Just to Enhance Bones, but Your Muscles!” “Try All Flavors For Free!”
“For free?” Gatomon repeated the words in blue against the red of the metallic case near the bottom where the dispensing hole is.
She questioned the reasoning of promoting a product you’re trying to sell for free, but quenching her thirst was heavier on her mind. She checked out the flavors on the three big buttons that had pictures of bottles with different colors: white for plain, brown for chocolate, and pink for strawberry.
She pondered a bit over the options and then made her decision.
