After long boring day at school, Kieth began his trek back home.
Wanting to take the scenic route, the boy decided to make a detour into the forest nearby. It got him home quicker, and nobody hung out in forests anyway, so no stranger danger right?
As Kieth enjoyed the cool autumn breeze, he noticed something at the corner of his left eye.
To his left was a strange teal glow that pierced the dark forest.
Being a curious boy, Kieth decided to check it out. After stumbling through the forest, Keith came across a very odd sight.
Sitting on a stone was a very strange cat. It was made out of slimy teal goo and seemed to be glowing. Suddenly, the cat turned around, and Keith was stared down by two very large black eyes.
It creeped the boy out a little…
Then the cat jumped down and approached Keith. It let out small warbled cries that sounded utterly alien. But also sounded like a cat. The slug cat started rubbing Keith’s legs, purring, and the boy felt the irresistible human urge to pet it.
So he did.
At that point, it started acting like a regular cat, and Keith couldn’t help but let out an “...aww.”
Suddenly, the slug cat stood up and launched itself into Keith’s mouth.
By the time Keith realized what the slug cat had done, he had already swallowed it. Almost immediately, a strange feeling washed over the boy.
Keith stumbled around, dizzy, as the forest suddenly turned into a blurry mess.
Falling on his knees, Keith groaned as he felt a tingle in his spine and something emerge from his back. As this happened, the boy felt a sharp pain in his skull. He clutched his head in agony as he as he felt something emerge from both sides of his head.
As this happened, Keith’s clothes suddenly began to feel uncomfortably tight. They dug into his skin, and it hurt. A lot. Without thinking, the boy began to grab them and tear them off senselessly. Anything to stop his clothes from burying into his skin.
Eventually, the strange feeling went away, and Kieth felt normal again.
Stumbling back to his feet, Keith looked around and noticed something odd. Everything was smaller. Much smaller.
“Ugh… what happened, nya?” The boy remarked, scratching his head.
As he scratched his head, Keith felt his fingers touch his ears. Which was weird since, his ears were on his head, right? Looking at his shadow, the boy realized he was wrong.
Very wrong...
In his shadow, he could see a pair of cat ears resting on his head, and a long tail, swishing around lazily.
“Am I a cat?”
Touching his head again, Keith discovered that he did indeed have a pair of cat ears. Turning around, the boy also saw a massive furry red tail attached to his back.
“This is so cool, nya!”
Excited about his new features, Keith started running back home. He wanted to show this off to his friends. But as Kieth got closer and closer to his neighborhood, he couldn’t help but feel like he was forgetting something…
It was only when he was finally standing on the paved streets that he realized why. But it was too late.
Towering over everyone, and with only his shredded pants covering his legs, Keith suddenly felt the eyes of every man, woman, and child on his person.
The giant Neko’s face turned into a brilliant shade of crimson as he realized his blunder.
