I actually feel kinda cute in this, Cameron thought. I'll literally die before I admit that to anyone, though. He double-cecked to see if Jordyn was back yet and when he saw that she wasn't, he decided to pose a little bit in the mirror. He put one hand on his hip, tilted his hip sideways, and flashed a peace sign with his other hand. He turned around so that his backside was now pointed towards the mirror, and lifted up the cloak. The leotard wasn't quite a thong but it was still quite a cheeky fit. My butt looks like a girl's! he thought with a peculiar sense of pride. He supposed since he'd always worn baggy boxers, jeans, and shorts, his feminine frame wasn't quite as noticeable.
As he was lost in ogling himself, Jordyn entered the room in her Starfire cosplay and giggled. "Well, glad to see that you're feeling it." she teased.
Cameron hastily turned around and covered himself with the cloak. "Um, I was just checking, to make sure that my 'stuff' wasn't hanging out." he smiled sheepishly "This fits me pretty well, actually."
"Well," Jordyn replied. "My mom is waiting outside, so let's get going."
Cameron nodded and they went outside where Linda was waiting for them in her SUV. The convention was being held at the convention center downtown so Linda took the freeway, giving Cameron and Jordyn plenty of time to discuss geeky topics. Jordyn was a dedicated DC fangirl while Cameron was more drawn to fantasy franchises such as the Witcher and A Song of Ice and Fire (although he was still a bit of a DC fan, just not to same extent as Jordyn).
"You know," Cameron told Jordyn playfully. "If you'd called me and said you wanted me to crossdress as Daenerys Targaryen or Yennefer of Vengerberg, I'd have been way more enthusiastic about all this."
Jordyn smiled slyly at him. "Okay, I'll have to consider that next time I do a duo cosplay."
They pulled up outside the convention center. Linda loaned her daughter one hundred and fifty dollars. "Here's a little something so you and Cam can get some goodies and lunch. Spend it wisely. I'll be back to pick you up at five."
"Okay Mom." Jordyn replied cheerfully. She then turned to Cameron and grabbed his hand "Let's go, bestie."
