"Oh wait, there's something more here" Ron said after spotting another label on the back. He looked surprised but quickly changed his expression to something more neutral
"What does it say?"
"It's instructions, basically this should transform you into a pet for the duration it says" Ron shrugged
"What kind of pet?" Harry asked, frowning a bit. That didn't sound so exciting, he had seen McGonagall transforming into a cat at will, it would be something everyone would eventually learn at Hogwarts.
"Doesn't say, maybe a random one?"
"That.. doesn't sound too exciting" Harry admitted
"I know, maybe is because it's an old prank and all" Ron said "Maybe what my brothers do is ahead of this now"
"That makes sense I guess. What are you doing?" Harry lost interest and went back to cleaning, spotting Ron taking the box anyway with him
"Maybe there is other fun stuff here? I will take it to our room"
"Okay then, thanks for the nothing by the way" Harry said and deliberately tried to send a cloud of dust at him as farewell, given that all he did was sort like 5 books
"It's not my punishment! Hey, you can keep whatever it is on the next trapdoor"
"Shut up and leave, Ron" Harry snickered and focused back on his task. He would get in trouble if Snape caught him helping anyway, and he trusted his best friend would tell him if he found something else of interest in that box that promised much but ended up being more like a collection of childish pranks.
However, Ron already lied to him.
Once he retrieved the box back to the room safely, Ron took again the potion and read again what was on the back of the label

- If used standalone, applying a dose on target modifies their behavior into that of a pet, eager to obey commands given and perform for rewards
- If used in binding mode (along with owner experience potion) the behaviour can be linked for the target to behave like a pet only towards specific people

That was way more interesting that a mere transformation, and for some reason Ron didn't feel like telling Harry, at least not yet, with ideas already swirling on his mind as he checked and sure enough, the instructions for both potions were there. The only thing left to do was to test how true it was, although he would need to elaborate the other potion by himself. And that was the best part, the instructions looked like something even he would be able to create.
