Neru was having second thoughts. It was easy to talk about, but now that she was here, at the front door of Len's house, being held tightly by Teto it was all she could do to keep calm. The sound of Teto ringing the doorbell was almost deafening, which snapped her out of it. She was already here, there was nothing she could do but wait for someone to answer the door.
From within came the sound of muffled voices, probably arguing over something from the sound of it.
"Guys, just... the door... can't you... for one second.... that's it!"

"Len is a bit indisposed at the moment. What's this big secret you have for him?" She wasn't even trying to hide her grin anymore.
"It's not really a secret," replied Teto, "More of a... well, here." She held out Neru for Rin to see. The book girl blushed a bit.
"This... I'm kind of, really, you know, supposed to be a present for Len."
Rin studied Neru's face on the cover. A few moments later and she burst out in uproarious laughter.
"Really?" she asked after calming down a bit. "You have one of those things, too? So this is how you wanted to-"
"Wait, too?" asked Neru. "What do you mean, too? What happened to Len?"
Rin took the book from Teto's hands. Neru felt seasick as Rin handled her with all the delicacy of someone who really doesn't value books. "Maybe if I just show you, then. Later, Teto!"
"See you. Good luck, Neru!" And with that, Rin slammed the door shut and headed toward the living room. Neru got a feeling of foreboding as they headed deeper into the house. This really can't be good...
