Chapter #7

Friends we won't see again.

    by: Flynn-Coyote Author IconMail Icon
The blare of your alarm clock broke through your sleep and roused you. Your arm fumbled across and managed to hit the off button on your third attempt. You rolled onto your back and stretched your back and limbs, yawning as you did so. After a few more moments you were able to psych yourself up enough to roll yourself upright and stand. You stretched again, feeling the pops in each of your limbs and your back as you loosened up before your usual bathroom rituals. Then you left the bedroom.
You softened your steps as you approached the kitchen doorway, focusing your ears to listen once more for the tiny footsteps. They were there, but not many. It would probably be prudent to only snag one and just have cereal or something. Oh well, one was still better than none. You made the rush into the kitchen, seeing the three of them pacing quickly across the counter top. By the time they spotted you it was too late. There was a pale grey female with brown hair, a darker grey male with black hair and a second male with brown fur and blonde hair. It was the third that you snagged, pinning him to the counter by his tail. He watched forlornly as his comrades escaped into the hole in the wall near the corner. Once they were out of view his trembling form turned to face you.
'Hello.' You purred, taking away his backpack before lifting him up and sitting him on your muzzle. 'Can you join me for breakfast?'
'Um, actually I had plans...' He replied, a hopeful and terrified smile on his face.
'Shh.' You grinned. 'It doesn't work that way.' He shook and clung to your face as you stepped sideways to the pantry, taking out the box of cereal flakes before setting it on the table. You spun around, making him close his eyes and cling even tighter as you approached a floor cabinet to retrieve a bowl, then a drawer to take out a spoon before you opened the fridge and took out the milk. You lapped your tongue over his dangling tail as you sat down, making him squeal in fright. Your eyes narrowed and focused on him before you nodded your head sharply to drop him into the bowl in front of you.
'P-please!' He looked up at you as you lifted the box. 'There's no need for this!' He was buried under the mound of cereal flakes you poured in atop him, scrambling to get his head above them before the milk poured in and made him shiver and squirm frantically.
'You might as well enjoy a flake or two yourself while you wait your turn.' You told him, dipping the spoon in beside him and lifting a spoonful of cereal to your own mouth. He watched in terror as you chewed, and your lips curled into a smile as you noted his expression when you swallowed. It was like this the whole time, for some spoonfuls he refused to watch while others he couldn't tear his eyes away from your lips or your neck.
It didn't take long before the bowl was nearly empty. The little guy had decided not to eat any of the food himself, perhaps too scared or too sick with fright to stomach anything. Finally, you lifted the bowl to your mouth and drained the milk, relishing the flavour of milk mixed with cereal crumbs and micen fear sweat. He scrambled to keep himself away from your lips, his feet landing on your lower teeth as you finished the milk. His frantic breathing calmed a little as you lowered the bowl, dropping him away from your mouth as you licked your lips.
'Please...' He repeated. 'I want to go home. I wanna see my friends and my sister again...'
'I had friends too.' You replied. 'Most of them I'll never see again either. I still miss them.' You nudged him with the spoon, making him look to the side at it before back at you with wide eyes in fear. 'Now, get on. Behave yourself.'
He sighed and closed his eyes before slowly climbing onto the spoon. He curled into a ball and shivered as you raised him up to your mouth. There was no teasing anymore, you simply dipped the spoon into your mouth and closed your lips, pulling it out and leaving him on your tongue in a puddle of shallow milk and drool. You heard his whimpering as you swished him about a little before you squeezed him to the back of your mouth and swallowed him down. You sighed, feeling him squirm all the way down before he disappeared into your now full belly. He wouldn't be suffering for long.

Like most days, you didn't really have plans for today. You sat back and gave some thought about how to fill your time. To write some? Maybe. You'd received an open invitation for lunch with Kre at some point. That could work. In the meantime, a trip to the supermarket was in order. You felt a faint squirm in your belly as you stood, giving a small smirk of satisfaction as you headed back to your room to put some clothes on.

You have the following choice:

1. A catch up.
