Daniel decided to pick up the genie book as he always had a thing for them. Being the type to read a book from front to back Daniel learned that this book was one of the more tricky than the others. The risk of becoming a genie himself is very present.
Additionally, he learned that there were three types of genies he could make based on the ritual he used. The first one was the classic genie like Genie from Aladdin. Phenomenal cosmic powers but limited when it comes to certain wishes, ie killing divine beings and raising up the dead. He frown realizing there goes that avenue of bringing his father back. The prison for a genie created this way will either be a lamp or bottle, and they will only be able to perform 3 wishes. The ritual required to create a lamp or bottle takes eight hours.
The next one was a limited type of genie that can perform only certain types of wishes. The prison was a ring and they can only grant 2 wishes.
The next type of genie was the utterly unlimited type with no power restraints or wish restraint. Because of the power in this one the ritual needed for creating the lamp takes up to an entire week.
And because he is the type to read the entire book he found the back page the wizard who created these books didn't expect most people wouldn't check. A way to turn a genie into a normal person. By doing this ritual their prison will blacken but can still be used to turn the unwary into genies.
"This way is more preferable in my opinion." Daniel reads in the book, "A genie created with this book cannot be merely freed or have their geniehood removed. A new one must take their place. The lamp will capture either the wish maker or someone else in the area."
