Brimming with excitement, Lorana runs down the thousand steps towards Ivarstead at a speed many would consider suicidal. Taking as many shortcuts as she could by jumping and sliding down the mountain, she quickly reaches the town to find her favorite horse, which she named Mil, tied up where she left her. Anybody around knew better than to steal from the Dragonborn.
She was a wonderful horse, with glowing white hair and main, as well as strong enough to fend off a bear. No one else had managed to tame the mare until Lorana had forced her to submit after twelve straight hours of bucking, and she remains the only person able to ride her. Mil seemed a loyal horse, as she never ran away when Lorana stepped off her.
She finds Wilhelm, the local innkeeper, feeding Mil her feed and petting her head. A thought comes through her mind to try the shout now and scare him...but he always takes such good care of her horse she decides against it. Lorana walks up to the Mil's other side and stroke her side.
"Good morning Wilhelm! Any problems you need help with?" she asks with a dazzling smile. He couldn't help but smile back before preparing the saddle.
"Well, the Jarl has placed a bounty on a local giant..."
"BORING!" she yells out.
"That's unusual, you usually love killing giants." He finished securing the saddle and a second later Lorana was up on top and ready to go. She tossed a few coins to the innkeeper and smirked.
"True, but I've found something much more interesting for now."
Why hunt giants when everything can be giant! She thought. With that, she had Mil sprint out of the town towards the distant woods.
After a few hours of riding, Lorana had found a decent location. Even she realized that trying to shrink among people would be dangerous. Her amazing power and accomplishments had earned her a good number of enemies and rivals. It would be best to test it out in the wilderness, where only weak animals could attack. She was confident that she could use her strength to kill them even at an inch tall. Or Mil could protect her and help her escape.
Now, what was it her father told her about the shout? Something about how long she would remain tiny. Well, it didn't really matter. She had waited long enough to try this out! Not noticing her pale horse walking off to the nearby stream (a common habit of hers) Lorana began to shout.
