The shrinking drug. It was a new drug, taking over New York City. Or at least it could, but thankfully the creator and the provider was stopped by Spiderman before it got out of hand.
However, there were cases of the drug still being taken and the result being devastating. One pill, and you shrink down to only a couple of inches tall. With that, the person becomes less than human. They can be turned into a pet, slave, toy, whatever the people with the size want. It's not common enough where the public knows about it, as there has only been a handful of cases about it.
One slip of it into someone's drink, and they become another person's property. Maybe they escape, but what then? They can get eaten by a rat, or maybe stepped on by a random person in New York just walking past. Their life is over as soon as that drugs goes down their throat, whether away or not.
Which was the problem that Yuri was dealing with right now. Looking down after a late night of work, back to her apartment.
And she spotted another one of the tiny victims of the drug. She was outside of her apartment looking down at you. You picked the darkest corner, and chances are you wouldn't have been spotted by most.
However, Yuriko Watanabe wasn't like most. She was smart and beautiful and she knew about the case. You were sleeping soundly, or as soundly as a naked tiny person could. You have wrapped yourself in newspaper, and you were dirty.
In the dark hidden, getting old newspaper as bedding... this tiny person was a smart one? Maybe he's been tiny for a while. Who shrunk you? Was it just a Club girl looking for a new purse pet, or maybe you were in with the wrong crowd with answers that nobody wanted out.
Regardless, Yuriko had good reason to care for you. She also feels bad, because imagine losing everything because of one mistake that you wouldn't even be aware of.
"Poor little man." She got down onto her knees, and got ready to take you into her apartment. She reached forward and moved some of the newspaper off of you to grab you better.
And at this, you opened your eyes. Slowly opening your eyes, and seeing an Asian beauty about to reach for you.
And you went into straight panic mode. "AGGGHHH!" You jump onto your feet and run as fast as you could from her.
Yuriko didn't expect you to jump and sprint, but she was able to easily catch you. her hand pinning you down as you struggled.
"No, let go! Let go!" You were fighting like a wild animal, but she can't blame you.
"Relax, please relax. My name is Yuriko, and I plan on helping you." You kept on struggling, as she wrapped her fingers around and carried you. You were still fighting, trying to pry the fingers off of you. This was the first time that Yuriko has handled and gripped one of those affecting by the shrinking, and she was surprised at just how... weak you were. She barely felt the touches, and even at your hardest struggle, she didn't even have to pay attention to stop you.
She does feel bad for you, but hopefully she can give you some help.
She walked into her apartment, turning the lights on. She raised you in front of her eyes, giving a kind expression on her face.
"Please stop struggling, how did this happen? Who drugged you?"
"D-Drugged?" You question entirely unsure.
And this only made Yuriko feel a bit badder. Sure there are villains and heroes in this city, but whenever an innocent bystander is affected, it's simply not fair. You don't even know what shrunk you down in size, it just happened to you and you took the effect.
The woman walked over to her couch, sitting down and dropping you onto her legs. She left you comfortably on her jeans.
But comfortable or not, you want to get away from the giant woman that kidnapped you from your Newspaper bed! You try to act and run, but she easily stopped you with her palm. Pinning her hand down on top of you and preventing you from escaping.
"Relax... please I'm going to help you." She tried to calm down before reaching into her pocket. "Here."
She showed it to you, and it was a police badge. Instantly this calmed you down, as you smile at her and relax on her lap.
A sight she smiled at. Her badge comes in to help her more times than you would think.
"Y-You're a cop... that's a relief." You say to her, "Y-You said your name was... Yuriko?"
"Yuriko Watanabe. Call me Yuri" She smiled. "Now let's talk... can you tell me what happened before you shrunk, and how long have you been like this?"
"H-How long... I don't know, a couple of weeks." She was a bit impressed that you were able to survive for that long, and not be taken at that. "And... I was just at a club, flirting with a cute blonde girl and then, I shrunk."
"A blonde... were you having a drink at the time?" She questioned sighing.
"W-What does that have to do with anything? I-I think I did." Yep, poor fool who almost got shrunken by a girl and kept as a sex pet. You notice her expression, "I-I've been surviving by myself since then. I-I got kidnapped once by a little kid, but I escaped her."
"You are a very resilient little man." Yuriko smiled giving you a compliment, but she knows that the trouble that you had.
Question is now what? There aren't really tiny shelters and the ones that are reduced are sent back to their homes, no plans on fixing their height. She could help you go home, or maybe... take care of you herself. That might be the better option.
The question is, when is this?
