Steve tried desperately to hang on to his oldest daughters big toe, but the constant motion was taking a toll on him. He could feel himself slipping.
"Lisa please help!" he screamed in a last ditch effort. Deep down he knew she couldn't hear him but he thought it was worth a shot anyway.
Then it happened. Steve lost his grip and had to roll out of the way of his daughter's giant foot. Not even taking time to collect himself, he started running after Lisa in an pathetic attempt to get her attention in the next few seconds before she entered the sliding screen door. He absolutely did not want to be stranded outside.
"Lisa...." he called as he saw his daughter enter the screen door. He heard it lock and his heart sank. Well shit had hit then fan prettt quickly, he thought to himself. Within an hour he had gone from his normal size, to shrinking himself to the size of an ant, and now getting stranded in the dangerous world that was his backyard.
"Fuck, what next," Steve said to himself. He sat down on the rugged patio. He knew the sun would start rising within the hour. That meant that potentially dangerous bugs and other animals would start getting active too.
Steve knew he had to do something. He knew there was a crack on the side of the house that would lead him inside. They used to have a mouse problem and he suspected that's how they would get in. The problem is this meant he would have to traverse through the jungle that was his backyard. Who knew what wild beasts would be out there at this size.
His alternative was to wait on the patio for someone to come outside. This seemed more appealing, he felt relatively safe on the patio. However he did not know how long it would take for a family member to come outside. Also the longer he waited on the patio, the more vulnerable he would become. If he came across a bug or some other creature, there were much fewer places to hide. He was out in the open and would be on his own.
