Inspired by his meal at "Pancake Heaven", which he insisted had some of the best tasting pancakes he ever had, Partitio got the idea to start investing in various other restaurants and businesses too. People needed good food after all and eating made people happy. So it was going to be his duty to help various restaurants and meal eateries out to help spread the joy of food and nourishment to people. Osvald did have to agree when he put it like that, Partitio did have a point that restaurants did do that and there was some logic to his plan that if they were supported to have more and better food and opened up more places, there'd be more business and happier people in town and all across Solistia. There did seem to be a lot more feelings and emotions involved than Osvald usually counted, but observational data did show that some people really did enjoy eating such as Partitio who took great pleasure from it. Watching him at the pancake house was kind of illuminating the excitement and passion Partitio also had in eating good food. Osvald never ate for the joy of it, preferring functionality and health and he scientifically worked out a trained regiment for it. Partitio meanwhile followed his tastes and appetites and really worked those pancakes over, Osvald thought amused. It was a curiosity but even Partitio had ate a bit too much of those pancakes and showed his appreciation much too well. When they had left the restaurant, Partitio was moaning and groaning a little as he shuffled out, hands on his stomach from eating too much. And with the size of him and his appetite that was definitely not a small feat, he had stacks of plates cleaned and rubbing his teeth with a toothpick leaning back. Osvald had never seen the like of it before.
It..picqued his scientific curiosity and he has to say, kind of fascinated him. To watch someone who ate and enjoyed food that much and got so full. He kind of wanted to see it again, for observations and gathering of course. And just curiosity since he especially would never have done this, and so publicly too. But Partitio didn't really have a filter and with most people had the most amazing way of charming and convincing them. That too was fascinating since also a lot of the time Osvald thought surely Partitio was an idiot, and also bad with money because investing so much of their savings into restaurants? Was that necessary? And yet he just had a way. And Osvald usually wasn't the most emotional sort of people though he loved his wife and daughter and it hurt staying away for the time being to let her get used to stuff and clearing the memory manipulating Harvey had done to her. But even he did find himself on occasion drawn in and charmed by Partitio's...well he supposed aura, charisma, way of winning people over. Something Osvald never was very good at unless it was in a purely philosophical and logical argument and debate. But winning people over emotionally was not his forte like it must be Paritio's. Partitio really was good at it.
And with that, Partitio managed to convince Osvald and the rest of the group the importance of investing in the restaurants and that they should stick around a while now that they had wrapped up some of their major goals a bit. It didn't take long to convince Agnea at all and while Temenos was kind of baffled by the idea, he kind of went along with it too. Partitio even managed to talk Hikari into an investment of leaves from the treasury now that he was the ruler of Ku and rebuilding too. Hikari and the others couldn't really stay long term but with new improvements of transit Hikari could go back and forth between there and Ku as could Tememnos and Throne to wherever they were going. But they were always ready to drop by should they need it. When people found out Partitio Yellowil new head of Partitio and Rocque company was investing in city restautrants, there is a great deal of hubbub and excitement as well as massive shock and eagerness to get business merchant into their restaurant. The offers and invites came extremely quickly and soon Partitio has a variety choice of restaurants to test and choose what to invest in eager for his leaves.
"And you're going to help me right?" Partitio asked Osvald. "You have too after all."
"And why is that?" Osvald asked amused.
"Because partner we're pals and you're going to help taste and choose.
"I'll leave the tasting to you."
"No I insist. Anyways for real though we got to do a good job at choosing and I'm sure it would interest your mind and let you choose all sorts of things that should be focused on to make people happy with good food."
"I suppose you're right," Osvald says thinking yet again of the pancakes and helping Partitio walk back and how full and tight he had felt when Osvald helped support him and couldn't avoid accidentally brushing agaisnt and feeling his full warm stomach and jostling him. It got a moan or a loud burp from the merchant. Not to mention his displays of "appreciation" for the food in the restaurant had Osvald wide-eyed and staring as it was one thing on the road and it wasn't as loud but in such a public place the loud belches was definitely not good manners but somehow Partitio didn't care and other than an initial shocked face, nor did the waitress. Osvald was deep down kind of impressed though. So here he was to see what happened next.
