As she scanned her surroundings, her eyes caught sight of something brightly colored. She stepped towards it, soon realizing that she had found an apple tree! The apples were bright and ripe, just waiting to be picked, and Melona was far too hungry to have any second thoughts as she plucked an apple and began to chow down. She almost moaned in delight at the flavor, it was tart and crisp and refreshing, and made her feel a little better about her situation. She wiped the juices running down her chin with her free hand, leaning against the bark of the tree as she ate, so caught up in the deliciousness that she lost track of her surroundings, only interested in consuming more and more of the delicious fruit.
As she ate, the apple's effects began to manifest. After all, this of course was not a normal apple tree. In actuality, this tree...
