Despite her belly rumbling hungrily, Amber did her best to resist the idea of eating her friends. Laying down on her side, she tried to find some rest and not think of food…
By the time the sun rose, Amber noticed that her party was already awake and breaking up their camp. Groggily wishing them a good morning, Amber stretched and slowly got up. She was still as hungry as when she cast the spell, but now she had a bit more self control on the feeling.
The group continued to head towards the area where the bandits were last seen, occasionally letting Elos scout ahead and make sure everything was clear. This caution would pay off as he would soon discover the bandit camp.
All of their targets were overweight, many as fat as Amber. But the Bandit leader was something else, weighing easily over 650 pounds, the woman no longer had a trace of the impressive musculature that she was known for when she first started causing trouble.
“So what do we do?” Elos whispered, “They outnumber us and they’re all huge.”
“No one said they could cast spells.” Ruth pointed out, “So they should be all bark and no bite.”
Dhael nodded in agreement, she clearly liked the idea of attacking head-on.
“We should try to be more sneaky, or at least attempt to scare them somehow.” Elos countered, “They don’t know how many we are, and we could try to deceive them.”
Amber herself couldn’t help but agree with Elos, after all, she didn’t know any combat spells yet… although the one she learned recently might prove valuable if they tried to be sneaky.
The group were now all looking at Amber, all seemingly wanting her input on the situation.
She continued to think about it for a while before deciding…
