During the night, you had a small nightmare that is different from your usual one. You see Makayla standing over you and she is MAD, smoke blowing from her nostrils.
"YOU BASTARD, I THOUGHT YOU WERE NICE AND YOU DID THAT TO ME!!! I OUGHT TO KILL YOU FOR THAT!!!" she yells before lifting up her giant clawed foot.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." You try to say but she stars lowering her foot towards you. You try to run from her when you hear an alarm
You wake up shocked and scared from the combination of the nightmare and your alarm. You turn off your alarm and sit on your bed for a bit to calm your nerves before heading into the bathroom.
After using the bathroom and getting changed to your normal clothes, you head downstairs and see mum and Emi in the kitchen already having breakfast with a plate set up for you already.
"Morning bro" Emi says.
"Morning honey" mum says.
"Morning" you respond still half asleep heading to the kettle to make yourself a coffee.
"Are you alright honey? You look kinda pale." mum says concerned.
"Yeah I'm OK, just a nightmare that's all" you say making your coffee before Emi walks up and puts her hand on your shoulder.
"Was it the same one again?" she asks looking concerned and a little sad.
"No, thankfully, it wasn't" you say patting her hand which brought a small smile to her face while you sip your coffee.
"That's good, but then what was it about then?" Emi asks concerned.
You tell both of them about the nightmare you had, all of you sit in silence for a bit, you occasionally sip your coffee and eat bits of your breakfast and mum and Emi look at each other before nodding.
"Honey, I know we pushed you into doing this and, clearly it's affecting you a lot, so how about this; if Makayla comes round at all today to talk about that memory you left in her, we will explain everything to her and we are also willing to take the blame for you as well." mum says and Emi nods after mum finished to show her commitment as well.
"Wait, what?" you say to both of them, that waking you up better than the coffee.
"Yeah, we talked a bit before going to bed and agreed that if anything bad happened from this, we would help you out in whatever way we could, even if it means taking the blame for you." Emi says.
You start getting a little teary eyed and get up and hug both of them.
"What did I do to deserve you guys?" you ask them. They just smile and hug you back for a moment.
"Ok while this is a touching scene, you two need to get going" mum says looking towards the clock where it says 8:25am. You and Emi quickly eat breakfast, grab your bags, say bye to your mum and head out the door. As you pass by Makaylas house, you see her looking out her window and she sees you and Emi walk past. You and Emi wave to her and she does a small wave before turning around and walking away, leaving you a little dejected. Emi notices this and pats your shoulder.
"Don't worry bro, remember, me and mum have your back on this" Emi says to you which cheers you up a bit and the two of you head to the college.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
