Shrugging his shoulders, Josh grabbed the box from Jenn and started to open the box to see what his girlfriend had purchased from that odd shop. "Wait." Jenn cried out to him, trying to grab the box back, but found it too far out of her reach. Seeing that he was treating her like she was his sister, Jenn put her hands on her hips and tried to speak some reason into him. "Don't you find it weird that we walked in, she popped out of nowhere to help us?" She asked.
Thinking about it for a moment, Josh shook his head. "She was in another aisle and we didn't see her when we walked in." He surmised as he stared to bring down the box.
Seeing this as a possibility, Jenn thought of something else. "Well then, what about the monocle that she used to find what we were looking for?" She asked, determined that this didn't make any sense, at least to her.
Brushing it off as nothing, Josh started to pull off the tape that was on the top of the box. "Jenn, sweetie." He started as he looked at her. "We're college students and she probably had many other students like us looking for vintage games to play too."
She looked at him with a bewildered look. 'When did he start thinking so sensibly?' She thought to herself as she watched in disbelief as he started to pull off the tape that was holding the flaps of the box together. "Wait." Jenn tried to call out, but soon found the box open and Josh looking into the box.
"What the hell is this?" He asked looking into the box and back over to Jenn, who felt an odd compulsion of glancing into the box to see what was inside. As she was about to get close, Josh started to pull out the contents. "I've never heard of this game before." He replied as he turned the game over so that Jenn would be able to see it.
Looking at the game, Jenn started to read the box. "Game of Change. Change your friends and unleash your inner self." Looking at the box, it appeared to be made of wood with various symbols carved into it. "Look at these symbols." Jenn commented pointing at the box. "This is the symbol for male and female, but why are they combined?"
Looking at the box in closer detail, Josh noticed other figures. Figures of what looked like a lion, various pieces of clothing, and oddly enough what looked like somebody shrinking slightly. "Wait, is that a fairy?" He asked pointing to a winged figure in the corner of the box.
Tilting her head slightly, Jenn looked at where he was pointing. "I guess it can be seen that way or it could be a dragonfly." She suggested. "Its kinda like the Rorschach test."
"The what now?" He asked, not entirely sure he heard what she said.
"The Rorschach test. You know, the ink blot test you see on some shows." Jenn corrected, but waved it off. "Its not important right now, what is important is who we're going to play this with." Almost as if somebody was overhearing their conversation, Jenn's phone started to go off. Holding the game in her right hand, Jenn reached around and pulled her phone out of her back pocket. "Hey Em, whats up?" She spoke into the phone. "Oh, that's horrible... Uh huh... Sure, if thats what you want... Actually, Josh and I found a game that we were wanting to try out... Sure, we will make our way over there. Bye."
Seeing Jenn putting her phone back into her pocket, Josh turned to her. "What did Em want?" He asked wondering what she was calling about.
Turning towards the car, Jenn replied. "Oh, she and Will had a fight. So she was wondering if I could come over to watch a movie and talk about what happened, but when I said that we found a game, Em wanted both of us over to try it out. So don't be a dick to her since Will is a good friend of yours" Following close behind his girlfriend, Josh quickly made it to the car before she did.
Getting into the car, he waited until Jenn got into the car before he spoke up. "Do you really want to play that game?" He asked as he started to start the car.
Sighing, Jenn buckled herself in and placed the game safely on her lap. "I don't see what the problem is, its just a game and its not going to hurt us to play the game" She giggled at how her boyfriend was acting.
