Wyatt easily recognized the strange fungus from his biology examinations. He let out a sigh of relief that he and Dan's work would not be noticed. He laughed at his own fear but he also realized how easily it could have been to be caught for real. They shouldn't have put the formula in all of the food. Just in the food they were serving to make sure Aiden didn't happen to notice anything strange. The black fungus was obvious and the formula was nearly invisible but there was no need to take chances.
Dan and Wyatt filled out the forms as soon as they could and turned them in to the office the next day and explained about the fungus. Wyatt recieved a quick reprimand for his carelessness but aside from that they were off the hook.
Only one question remained unanswered. Would they try to get Aiden back or were they happy with him out of their lives?
