This choice: You let go, ending somewhere • Go Back...Chapter #3You let go, ending somewhere by: Tinymannn I gripped the charger cord, swinging like a pendulum toward Nate’s phone. My hands screamed, raw and stinging, and my grip faltered. I couldn’t hold on. I let go, flailing as I sailed through the air, the world a blur. I hit something hard with a thud, the impact jarring my bones. I lay there, dazed, the surface beneath me rough and warm, reeking of sweat and Axe body spray. Was this… the desk chair?
Before I could move, a creak split the air. Nate was up, his footsteps booming closer. The chair lurched as he pulled it out, my body tumbling in a dizzying spin. I scrambled to my feet, heart pounding, and looked up. There he was, a colossus above me, his face shadowed but familiar. He muttered, “I should get comfortable. No one’s coming in my room.”
My stomach dropped. He tugged off his shirt, tossing it aside like a collapsing tent. Then his pants dropped, a landslide of denim crashing nearby. Now he stood in just boxers, his lean frame filling the sky. I froze, a speck on his chair, as he bent his knees. His shadow darkened, his body descending, an avalanche I couldn’t escape. I screamed, my voice lost in the creak of the chair, as the world went black under his weight. I didn’t know if I’d survive this—or if he’d ever know I was here. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
