Naruto Uzumaki had a good life. Sure, it sucked that roughly 18 years ago shortly after he and his twin sister got born, their father lost his life sealing the Nine Tailed fox into himself and his sister Naruko.
But, due to his dad being the fourth Hokage and a total badass, at least he and his sister were able to keep their mother Kushina who raised them both. His mom was no less of a badass than his dad was, and not only helped both Naruto and his sister avoid some of the harassment they otherwise would have faced from some of the villages due to being perceived as in the fault for the Nine Tails actions.
Much had changed in the village to account for the attack, but the biggest change occurred when, after the Uchiha massacre where Itachi slaughtered most of his family aside from his mother and siblings the Academy increased their requirements when it came to allowing students to graduate.
Itachi while a prodigy being deemed as warning of child soldiers and being unable to handle the strain that came with graduating to early, everybody in the village leadership, chiefly among them Narutos own mom and Tsunade, his godmother, agreed.
While at first it greatly annoyed Naruto that he had to wait so long to become a proper Ninja, his mom had insisted and Tsunade having the final word as the Fifth Hokage put an end to all discussions. In hindsight, at least it allowed him to train a bit more against Sasuke and show their annoying Teacher that he had what it took to be a good Ninja after all!
Ever since Iruka was transferred shortly after Naruto and Narukos birthday earlier in the year, the new Head Teacher assigned to their class had it out for the blonde.
He had no way to prove it, but he suspected it was due to the fact the older perverts younger brother had a thing for Sarada and Hinata who had a total crush on the Uzumaki heir much to his annoyance and he tried to punish Naruto because of it.
Same deal with his mother and Tsunade. Being a former student of Kushinas, according to his mom and Hokage alike the Chunin was a total sweetheart and super talented, on a fast track for Jonin in fact, but as far as Naruto was concerned he and his little brother were the worst!
As he settled down in his seat and turned to ask Naruko if he could have her help with homework due to having forgotten after training to long with Sasuke, hoping that Naruko had spent her time with Sarada studying instead of training like he had done with the Uchihas twin brother...
