In the Forman family basement, Eric and Donna were snuggled up on the couch, watching TV. It was rarely enough they got to hang out there alone, especially since Hyde had moved into the basement, and they were making the best of it. Gilligan's Island had just ended, and Donna sat up and stretched.
"It's kind of warm in here." She remarked, grabbing the remote and switching the channel.
"There's some ice cream sandwiches in the freezer." Eric replied, casually.
Donna stood up, and made her way over to the freezer. Eric took this time to appreciate the fruits of his hard work. His girlfriend's butt was definitely a bit larger, each cheek quite clearly defined against the tight denim as she bent over to retrieve the frozen snacks. As she turned back around, he got a good glimpse of her profile, much improved in his opinion by the addition of a noticeable potbelly. She sat down and handed him a sandwich, keeping two for herself he noticed happily, and her stomach bulged out over her lap, straining the button of her jeans.
They settled back down to watch Happy Days, and Eric reflected on his success. In the days after their sunset picnic, Donna had obviously been aware that she had overdone it, and had politely turned down any offer of food or candy. Eric had quickly decided to change his tactics. It wasn't about getting her to eat a lot all at once, it was about eating a little more than usual, a little more often.
So he brought her a candy bar before school, and at lunch, an extra soda and a bag of chips. When they went to the Hub, he'd convince her to have another order of fries, and maybe go for ice-cream afterwards. If they were hanging out at his house, he'd persuade her to try one or two of his mom's cupcakes or brownies, with some nice, whole milk to wash it down.
Soon, even sooner than he'd hoped, she didn't need convincing or persuading. She didn't even remark on it when Eric turned up with a box of donuts or some cookies 'to share'. She just started eating. The results were really starting to show, and while Eric could only dream of putting her on the scales or breaking out the measuring tape, his was sure that she had put on a good few pounds. Now it was just a question who would notice first, Donna or someone else.
"Eric!" His mother's voice echoed down the stairs. "Is Donna staying for dinner?"
He looked over at Donna, who nodded eagerly as she swallowed a mouthful of ice cream.
"Ye-es!" Eric called back up. As she chewed, he slipped his arm around her waist, subtly feeling the added softness, and imagining what Donna would look like in another two weeks.
