a sedoka written for the Writer's Cramp--prompt:the moon

Widow's Walk



Widow, in Sanskrit
"ugly, empty" for too long.
Walking the darkened hallways,
the moon in eclipse,
she cannot find safe harbor
only his dusty lunch pail.
