For my niece on her Graduation day

To Kaitlyn:

Looking at your beautiful face
All made up, your full of grace
I remember that little girl
Her little dress up in a twirl

Little shoes, big heart
She's so cute, she's so smart
All the things we didn't know
We learned as we watched you grow

Your smile warmed up our hearts
And so did your little farts
Your little words made us laugh
We weren't concerned about your gas

Years went by so very fast
I can't believe they didn't last
The days you wanted to go go go
Lets go back and take it slow

I wish that we could enjoy more
Before you go through the new door
But we know we can't hold you back
You have yourself on the right track

She's still so cute, she' still so smart
A beautiful women with a wonderful heart
We are all so filled with pride
Watching your steps turn into strides

But please remember as you move on
That to us you will never be gone
And it only takes one quick call
To be surrounded by us all.

One thing that I know is true
We are not losing you
You will always be in our hearts
Just like the memory of your little farts!
