And as I watched her walk my way I knew there was a price to pay as beauty vanished with the day and now Medusa bid me stay. I turned, before I changed to stone then in an instant I was gone, transported to Minotaur's home. And once again I was alone. I searched the scene and tried to find my love, but I could see no sign in the Labyrinth of my mind. I pictured her not as mankind. But daughter of a God of lore, the mighty Zeus who lightning bore. Or could it be the Norse God Thor, Lord of the thunder and of war. Then suddenly, eyes opened wide. My love, how loud the heavens cried. Dark dreams reborn upon the tide, brought Aphrodite to my side. |
