THANKFUL FOR YOU

THANKFUL FOR YOU

In the early morning hours as I awake to darkness,
I find the welcome comfort of your presence here
and embrace the warmth of love surrounding me.
You are my life, I am blessed by having you near.
I am thankful for you.

You have given me another morning, another hope
that there will be a brighter future, a happier day.
I look out the window to see the first rays of light
embroider the sky, keeping the darkness at bay.
I am thankful for you.

You are my refuge when my own world is hurting,
my joy when I can look beyond the harsh reality
and see the goodness that lies beyond a moment
when the world chooses to hide its true beauty.
I am thankful for you.

Heavenly Father, lead me on the right path,
let me walk in the shining power of your light,
You know my heart, my goals and my dreams
and with you, I know no fear of darkest night.
I am thankful for you.
