Now is the beginning of purpose and the end of folly

Many a road have I traveled

A labyrinth of evil and sin

From prison bars and the gates of hell

The Truth I did not live



I drank from the hand of satan

Never could I get enough

A little was given then taken

Oblivious and blinded to the above



Seeking to fulfill the void

I lived for the very moment

The birth of my fear was the unknown

And the unknown was my torment



My folly has now cease to commend

To seek life in vain

A new Kingdom I wish to attend

Absent of selfish gain



A new song I now sing

So different from before

The source of which is from a Spring

that gives Truth and life forevermore



Come all you who will thirst

And see what I say is true

to those who have been broken

this song I sing is for you



So I say this to be the end

of that fight which I have lost

To the beginning of the war

That Jesus Christ won at the Cross
