A poem written while feeling depressed

I'm just talking to my shadow
"Do not worry
Do not cry
You have your companion
Me?
I have none"

Where am I Where am I
I'm just talking to my shadow
And my shadow's shadow's shadow
"You three've got each other
Me?
I just observe"

When you're popular
You've got everyone
And the freeks have other freeks
Me?
I've just got my shadow
And even she's ignoring me

I'm just talking to my shadow
Telling myself
"Do not worry
Do not cry"
I'm talking to my shadow
If I'm alone
Why do I try?
