Hopelessness still contains the word--hope.











Darkness growls beyond shuttered thoughts;
breath vile as it extinguishes the light--no hope
allowed here--nothing can grow in the absence of light
or love or expectation. Beyond the stench of death
angels weep crystal tears each
containing the seed of tomorrow
in prayer it falls on fallow ground.
