T My wife, myself, and our dog Blue Went traveling in our VW It was an old 1960 bus We took care of it and had no fuss. It was covered with flowers from stem to stern No power steering and hard to turn The poor thing didn't corner well But on the straight away you could do swell. The spare tire led the way I remember it as if it was yesterday We went to the Grand Canyon a sight to see Woodstock though was the place to be! Winding roads both near and far The old yellow bus was not a car The fuzz pulled us off the road He said I swayed so lighten the load. Blue barked and the policeman scowled Blue got mad and then he growled Up against the van I went A night in jail was all I spent. My VW bus waited through the night It was stolen oh what a fright When they brought her back to me The rest of the country we were off to see! 24 lines |
