Battles Within

Walking a sinful world searching for guidance.

Though I walk this sinful world
My mind and soul know that You are beside me.

I walked alone for years on end
Searching for what would make me whole.

My battles exist daily with those I can't see
I pray several times a day for strength and guidance.

Opening my heart to receive You was all I needed
To hear Your voice speaking to me.

Now, I know that You exist within me
Never to leave or forsake me.

I have never been alone
For You are always with me.
