An entomologist and her assistant venture into the heart of darkness (Feedback welcome!)

I started writing this as an assignment for Horror 101. It quickly ballooned into a massive tale that I couldn't bear to cut short, partially because I grew very attached to these characters. (A horrible thing for a horror writer to do.)

Most of the blame can go to the extensive research I did for this story, filling my head with so many ideas that I couldn't help but throw them in. I don't know how this short story turned into a novella but I hope you find it enjoyable and interesting.
