Family Fun

what exactly is family fun?

They took their kids to carnivals,
to parks, and renaissance fairs
and they realized on one outing
they could have fun anywhere.
Family fun wasn't about the going
it's about the memories they share
it wasn't about the places they'd seen
but rather showing them that they care.
Family fun is in the little things
that bind one to the other
the making of these memories
experienced with one another
the pleasure of time spent with loved ones
sharing the excitement and elation
that quality time they spend together
be it daily or in celebration
